I wonder how I went for so many years without going up Ancon Hill. Today we went again and here are four more pictures.

Today we had a much better view of the basketball-court-sized flag that is at the top, with a beautiful blue sky as a backdrop.

From up there you can see the Panama Canal. Here we see Miraflores and Pedro Miguel Locks, as well as Centennial Bridge.

A view of the Old Quarte. You can see Saint Francis Church, the Metropolitan Cathedral, Church of Mercy, France Plaza and the National Culture Institue building, where part of a James Bond movie was filmed.

And we couldn’t go without seeing some local fauna:

Going down we saw this armadillo, helpfully posing for the camera.

Today I went up Ancon Hill with a group of workmates. Although I’ve worked at the Ancon’s foot for 10 years, I’d never go up there. In fact I hadn’t ever in my life…

An incredible place, where you can get an excellent view of Panama City:

While there, we were lucky enough to see six toucans eating from the plams that are all over the hill.

Here’s one I sort of catched while flying:

Then a blue-gray tanager:

And finally, when going back down, we spied a vulture chick. Luckily, a guy that was going up warned us the these chicks defend themselves by vomiting!

I think I’ll be going back soon…

We had the chance to participate in the Ox Cart Parade in San Miguelito. We won, by the way :)

This was our cart:

Another view:

The number of people was incredible. We were carrying ox cart number eleven…

I had the pleasure of watching this sight at MINSA while waiting for an errand.

Some time ago, I subscribed to Cafepress, a site that allows you to upload your own images and designs to crear souvenirs.

I’ve reactivated that section and plan to introduce more images and designs.

I’m still working on getting the page similar to my main page, but the products are already available.

The page will look better very soon. I promise.
